Next Atlantic Resolve aviation rotation arriving in Belgium

KAISERSLAUTERN, Germany —

U.S. Army Black Hawk, Apache and Chinook helicopters from Fort Stewart, Georgia, are scheduled to arrive Oct. 15, at the port facilities of Zeebrugge, Belgium, by ship to take over the Atlantic Resolve mission.

From there, troops and aircrafts of the 3rd Combat Aviation Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division, will stage their aircraft at Chièvres Air Base, Belgium, before moving to their operational locations across Europe as the aviation rotational force for their nine-month deployment in support of Atlantic Resolve.

3rd Combat Aviation Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division, will replace 1st Combat Aviation Brigade, 1st Infantry Division, from Fort Riley, Kansas. 

 Media are invited to observe the offloading and movement of aircraft and equipment, Oct. 16, at 9 a.m. The event will include a question-and-answer period with U.S. and Belgian military leaders.
