1st Battalion, 6th Field Artillery Battalion set to reactivate

GRAFENWOHR, Germany —

The 1st Battalion, 6th Field Artillery Battalion, 41st Field Artillery Brigade will activate in a ceremony at 3 p.m. on 19 Sept. at 7th Army Training Command Parade Field on Tower Barracks in Grafenwoehr, Germany.

The 1st Battalion, 6th Field Artillery Battalion (1-6 FA Bn.) is a Multiple Launch Rocket System battalion.

The 1-6 FA Bn. is the second battalion to be activated as part of the reactivation of the 41st Field Artillery Brigade (41st FAB).

The 41st FAB was reactivated in November 2018 as part of the 2017 National Defense Authorization Act and is tasked with the mission of planning, training and executing operations to provide U.S. Army Europe long-range precision fires capabilities.
