GRAFENWOEHR, Germany —
On behalf of U.S. Army Europe, 7th Army Training Command will host the European Best Sniper Team Competition 2019, July 20 - 26, at the U.S. Army’s Grafenwoehr Training Area, Germany, with an awards ceremony July 25.
This mentally and physically challenging seven-day competition, with more than 30 events, will test multinational sniper squads on land navigation, advanced marksmanship, medical simulations and more.
The European Best Sniper Team Competition is designed to project a dynamic presence, foster military partnership and promote NATO allies and partners’ interoperability.
This year’s competition will test competitor’s marksmanship skills, physical prowess, and mental agility while engaging in team building competitions. The participating teams are from Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Latvia, Netherlands, Poland, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, United Kingdom and the United States.
7th Army Training Command’s 2nd Cavalry Regiment, the 173 Airborne Brigade and Joint Multinational Readiness Center will represent the U.S. in this year’s competition.
