Media Advisory: Media invited to Atlantic Resolve ceremony in Poland

ZAGAN, Poland – The 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, will transfer authority with 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, during a ceremony Feb. 12, 1:30 p.m., at the Zagan Cultural Palace. 

The ceremony officially recognizes the beginning of the fourth iteration of an armored brigade combat team in support of Atlantic Resolve. 

The ceremony indicates the newest unit, also known as the “Devil Brigade,” is fully mission capable after transporting its tanks, vehicles and other equipment from its home station of Fort Riley, Kansas, to Poland. 

The occasion also signifies that the outgoing unit, and its more than 3,000 Soldiers, can now return home to Fort Hood, Texas.
