Virtual Appointments

Effective 28 April 2020, Virtual Appointments are available for online booking via www.tricareonline.com. If you do not have a Tricare Online account, please visit www.tricareonline.com to set up your patient portal.

Virtual Health: You have likely heard us use the term “Virtual Health” which is the same as Telehealth or Telemedicine. As part of our mitigation strategy to continue to provide you uninterrupted patient care,... we are using Virtual Health as much as possible to support local and national authorities’ efforts to flatten the curve of COVID-19. Virtual Health at MACH includes secure messaging through the Tricare Online Patient Portal (www.tricareonline.com), the Nurse Advice Line (1-800-TRICARE, option 1), our local COVID-19 hotline (762-408-2819), and Virtual Appointments – to include telephone or video options (www.tricareonline.com or MACH Appointment Line: 762-408-2273 or speak with your Care Team about video options).

Virtual Appointments consist of telephone or video appointments with your provider and should not be booked for emergent medical needs such as chest pain, difficulty breathing, or other new or worsening conditions where a provider must conduct a hands-on-physical examination to best evaluate you. For those emergent situations, continue to use 911, the MACH Emergency Department or Tricare-authorized Urgent Care Centers. Virtual Appointments should also not be booked for routine physicals, well woman examinations, or well-baby/child examinations due to the nature of those encounters. If you have questions about whether your medical needs can be cared for via a Virtual Appointment, please contact your Care Team via Tricare Online Secure Messaging at www.tolsecuremessaging.com or by calling the MACH Appointment Line at 762-408-2273.
