Once homeless, NCO gets rare shot to attend law school under Army program
Perla Gonzalez is one of the first NCOs accepted into the Army's Funded Legal Education Program. It selects active-duty Soldiers to attend law school full time and tuition free but must fulfill service commitment as an Army lawyer. It was recently opened to NCOs in the ranks of sergeant through sergeant first class.

Kleber Soldiers participate in Finnish Army’s Winter Combat Course
Subarctic temperatures didn’t stop a multinational training exercise from going forward during a Winter Combat Course near Rovaniemi, Finland, located just four miles south of the Arctic Circle, during the freezing month of January, the coldest month of the year in the region.

Army COVID prevention focus of Baumholder visit by local host-nation leaders
Showcasing measures being taken to prevent the spread of COVID and protect the American population, the U.S. Army welcomed local leaders to U.S. Army Garrison Rheinland-Pfalz and the Baumholder Military Community March 3.

Movement of Army Preposition Stock requires support from multiple units, organizations
As part of the redistribution of Army Preposition Stock, more than 100 Mine Resistant Ambush Protected vehicles and several 20 foot containers were shipped from Leghorn Army Depot, Italy, to a new APS site location.

30th Medical Brigade Pre-Deployment Training

Seventh Atlantic Resolve aviation rotation to begin
The 1st Combat Aviation Brigade, 1st Infantry Division, from Fort Riley, Kansas, will replace the 101st Airborne Division’s Combat Aviation Brigade in April 2021. This is the unit’s second rotation in support of Atlantic Resolve.

Lithuanian Dragoons demonstrates unconventional warfare on U.S.
Infantrymen assigned to 2nd Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment participated with Lithuanian 21st Dragoon Battalion in a combined training exercise, Feb. 21, 2021.
The training event tested the abilities of U.S. forces to identify and react to ambushes and the Dragoon Battalion to slow or halt the advance of heavy weaponry.

7th Army NCOA leads instruction on new missing persons battle drill
The 7th Army Noncommissioned Officer Academy gave the first instruction to junior and future NCOs on the Army’s new “absent-unknown missing persons battle drill” at Camp Normandy, Germany, Jan. 28 as part of the Basic Leaders Course.
