U.S. Army Europe and Africa will demonstrate small unit experimentation and excellence in the Army’s premier theater for transformation through the first multinational Best Drone Warfighter Competition (BDWC). Occurring Dec. 8-10, 2025, in Grafenwoehr Training Area, Germany, the competition will test and showcase Unmanned Aerial Systems operator capabilities across participating U.S. Army, NATO Allied and partner teams, and serves as a visible culmination of experimentation, readiness, and transformational warfighting initiatives.

European Best Medic

Best Medic Competiton

 

The European Best Medic Competition tests competencies, skills, and readiness of European theater medics at Grafenwoehr Training Area, Germany. The highest winners of U.S. forces are selected to represent the European region at the Army Best Medic Competition at Fort Liberty, North Carolina. Tank Challange

 

The USAREUR-AF International Tank Challenge provides an arena for professional development in which NATO Allies and Partners share tactics, techniques and procedures during a multiday competition hosted by 7th Army Training Command in Grafenwoehr, Germany. Best Sniper Team

The competition tests marksmanship skills, physical prowess, land navigation and mental agility while engaging in team building competition. More than 30 sniper teams from 16 nations compete annually in the U.S. Army Europe-directed, 7th Army Training Command hosted, European Best Sniper Team Competition held at the Grafenwoehr Training Area in Bavaria, Germany. Visit the Best Sniper Team webpage for more information

Best Squad

Teams from across U.S. Army Europe and Africa test their tactical proficiency, communication, and overall cohesion as they compete for the title of Best Squad. Best Warrior

U.S. Army units from across Europe converge to compete for the title of Best Warrior. The week-long event tests Soldier skills, endurance, fortitude and resourcefulness as well as intellectual and problem-solving capabilities. Winners of the European Best Warrior Competition move on to compete at the U.S. Army Best Warrior event held at Fort A.P. Expert Field Medical Badge

U.S. Army Europe EFMB

The Expert Field Medical Badge is a U.S. Army decoration first created .June 18, 1965. U.S. Army Europe and Africa conducts training and testing for the EFMB annually to provide ally and partner nation medical personnel the opportunity to compete for this prestigious qualification.
