Arctic Forge

 

 

Arctic Forge is a biennial exercise designed to enhance cold-weather operational capabilities and strengthen U.S.-European Arctic partnerships. Conducted in Norway, Finland, and other Arctic regions, it focuses on cold-weather operations, airborne movement, and Arctic defense capabilities. The exercise demonstrates U.S. commitment to defending the High North and bolsters NATO Arctic cooperation.

U.S. Navy corpsmen assigned to 11th Dental Company, 1st Dental Battalion, 2d Dental Battalion and 4th Dental Battalion participated in Shika-X 25.2 on Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni, Japan, May 22, 2025. The exercise strengthened capabilities and readiness in a field environment by conducting emergency fresh whole blood transfusions and culminated in a mass casualty and medical evacuation training scenario.
