Arctic Forge

 

 

Arctic Forge is a biennial exercise designed to enhance cold-weather operational capabilities and strengthen U.S.-European Arctic partnerships. Conducted in Norway, Finland, and other Arctic regions, it focuses on cold-weather operations, airborne movement, and Arctic defense capabilities. The exercise demonstrates U.S. commitment to defending the High North and bolsters NATO Arctic cooperation.

Three men aboard a stolen “go-fast” type vessel were apprehended approximately 125 miles east of Cancun, Mexico, after leading the Coast Guard on a search stretching almost 345 miles Friday, Dec. 25, 2015. The Coast Guard used both air and surface assets to track and eventually capture the three men. (U.S. Coast Guard video)
