Package about the Warrior Prep Center identifying the need for a capability to enhance the training of Joint Terminal Attack Controllers (JTAC) and Joint Fires Observers (JFO) utilizing simulated fighter assets instead of live aircraft. The solution is the Advanced Tactical Aircraft Simulator (ATAS) which fills the roll of the traditional fighter aircraft executing close air support missions without having to launch live aircraft.
