The M50 Joint Service General Purpose Mask has been the US military’s standard-issue gas mask since 2009. But Emergency Management professionals discovered that, when stored for a long period of time, parts of the gas mask could wear out, and potentially fail. TSgt Harold Mitchell is in charge of the Individual Protective Equipment unit at Misawa Air Base. Produced by Airman Jimmy Moreland, Misawa Air Base, Japan. Also available in High Definition.
