JMRC Leads the Way in Large-Scale Combat Training for U.S. and Allied Forces, Saber Junction 25 (HOOAH)
114th Public Affairs Detachment
Sept. 14, 2025 | 2:19
The Joint Multinational Readiness Center (JMRC), located at the Hohenfels Training Area in Germany, stands as the U.S. Army’s premier training ground in Europe, offering unmatched opportunities for U.S., NATO, and Allied forces, to rehearse large-scale combat operations (LSCO) in a realistic, multinational environment. From August 14 - September 21, 2025, more than 7,000 personnel from 15 countries participated in Saber Junction 25, a world-class training event. This was a major investment in the cohesion of the NATO alliance and the overall readiness of Allies and Partners to work together in a dynamic security environment. As the only site in U.S. Army Europe equipped with an aircraft hulk for live sling load, and home to the Army’s most capable Opposing Force (OPFOR), JMRC provides the complex, high-threat scenarios needed to build lethal, interoperable, and combat-ready formations.
Designed and executed by 7th Army Training Command, JMRC, with 2nd Cavalry Regiment as the primary training audience, this training event aimed to develop critical skills in synchronization, cross-functional planning, and multinational coordination, all under battlefield pressure. While U.S.-led, this exercise developed and enhanced NATO Allies and Partners’ cohesion through real-world practice for tactics, procedures, techniques, leadership and more. (Video story by Pfc. Makayla Panzer, 114th Public Affairs Detachment)
Footage contributions by 2nd Lt. Courtney Rorick, Staff Sgt. David Marquis, Staff Sgt. Sean Ferry, Sgt. Maria Goodwin, Spc. Josephine Malloy, and JMRC's Combat Camera Viper Team.
