1st Air Cavalry Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division conducted multinational training with Belgian Forces in Romania, Sept. 17, 2024. The 1st Cavalry Division’s mission in Europe is to engage in multinational training and exercises across the continent, working alongside NATO allies and regional security partners to provide combat-credible forces to V Corps, America’s forward-deployed corps in Europe.

U.S. Army Capt. Jessica Knoll, commander of Charlie Company, Brigade Support Battalion, 173rd Airborne Brigade, and U.S. Army 2nd Lt. David "Alex" Fiorillo, Charlie Battery, 1st Battalion, 57th Air Defense Artillery Regiment, conduct a combination of speed and long-distance running drills in Vicenza, Italy, Sept. 24, 2024. Together they will represent U.S. Army Europe and Africa at the 40th annual Army Ten-Miler (ATM) in Washington, D.C., Oct. 13, 2024. Over 459,685 runners have run the ATM since 1985, generating over $8 million in support of U.S. Army Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) programs since its inception.

Ronald Ferrer, a proud Sky Soldier and chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) non-commissioned officer with the 173rd Airborne Brigade, opens up about how his family's long history of military service inspired him to become a U.S. Army Paratrooper. From September 15 to October 15, National Hispanic Heritage Month honors the achievements, contributions, and dedication of Hispanic Americans in the Army.

The 173rd Airborne Brigade (Sky Soldiers) is the U.S. Army's Contingency Response Force in Europe, providing rapid forces to the United States European, Africa and Central Commands areas of responsibility. Forward-based in Italy and Germany, the Brigade routinely trains alongside NATO allies and partners to build interoperability and strengthen the Alliance.

EOD Soldiers are trained to safely identify, disarm, and dispose of hazardous explosive devices, ensuring the safety of military personnel and civilians in both combat and peacetime environments. Exercises ensure EOD units remain prepared to respond to real-world threats, safeguarding military personnel and civilian populations from explosive dangers.
