British soldiers host British Army Warrior Fitness Competition

Soldiers with the British Strategic Reserve Force of the NATO-led Kosovo Force mission, also known as KFOR, participate in a British Army Warrior Fitness event at Camp Bondsteel, Kosovo, Oct. 28, 2024. Remaining physically fit is integral to ensuring KFOR soldiers are prepared to respond at a moment's notice in order to maintain a safe and secure environment for all communities in Kosovo.
21st TSC Hosts Bundeswehr for German-American Partnership Event

German Armed Forces from the Bundeswehr Logistics Command familiarize themselves with the Army Combat Fitness Test and weapons systems M-4/M-17 during a weapons qualification range hosted by the 21st Special Troops Battalion in Landstuhl, Germany, from 22 to 24 Oct. 2024.
This event closed out a three-day German-American partnership event, where #Team21 Soldiers helped their NATO partners familiarize themselves with U.S. Army weapon systems and the ACFT.
BwLOGCOM is the 21st TSC's partner command, providing a liaison detachment at Panzer Kaserne in Kaiserslautern. It has significantly supported the unit with multiple NATO efforts, including DEFENDER and Army prepositioned stocks.

2nd Cavalry Regiment History

The 2nd Cavalry Regiment, also known as the Second Dragoons, was formed in 1836 and is the oldest mounted cavalry regiment on continuous active service in the U.S. Army. Since its inception, 2CR has served vital roles around the world in armed conflicts. Today, the 2nd Cavalry Regiment maintains a strong presence in Germany, and provides U.S. Army Europe and Africa with a lethal and agile force capable of rapid deployment throughout the European theater in order to assure allies, deter adversaries, and when ordered, defend the NATO alliance.
Territorial Defense Forces Symposium II

V Corps and Allies reconvene for a second Territorial Defense Forces Symposium in Krakow, Poland, Oct. 21-22, 2024. The symposium focuses on building upon past discussions dedicated toward interoperability among the nations of NATO. The event, led by the 2nd Polish Corps with V Corps as a primary participant, seeks to develop a mutual understanding of large-scale combat operations roles and responsibilities.
KFOR 34 RC-E Changes Command

Col. Jason Baker, the commander of Georgia Army National Guard's 48th Infantry Brigade Combat Team and the NATO-led Kosovo Force Regional Command East, also known as KFOR RC-E, relinquished command to Col. Peter Helzer, commander of Oregon Army National Guard's 41st Infantry Brigade Combat Team at Camp Bondsteel, Kosovo, October 22, 2024.
During the transfer of authority ceremony, the Georgia state flag was lowered recognizing the successful completion of the 48th's tenure in Kosovo and the Oregon state flag was raised to commemorate the beginning of the 41st's KFOR rotation.
NATO has been leading the KFOR peace-support operation in Kosovo since 1999 in support of wider international efforts to build peace and stability in the area. KFOR continues to implement its mandate - based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244 of 1999 - to contribute to a safe and secure environment for all people and communities living in Kosovo and freedom of movement, at all times and impartially. KFOR is the third security responder, after the Kosovo Police and the EU Rule of Law (EULEX) mission, respectively, with whom we work in close coordination.

NATO has been leading a peace-support operation in Kosovo since June 1999 in support of wider international efforts to build peace and stability in the area. In October 2024, the 34th rotation of Kosovo Force soldiers will begin their KFOR mission, working to ensure a safe and secure environment for all people and institutions in Kosovo.
