DEFENDER 24 - Dynamic Employment of Forces to Europe for NATO Deterrence and Enhanced Readiness - is the largest U.S. Army exercise in Europe.

Combining exercises Saber Strike, Immediate Response, and Swift Response, DEFENDER 24 will build readiness, and strengthen the NATO Alliance.

DEFENDER-Europe 21 is a large-scale U.S. Army-led exercise designed to build readiness and interoperability between the U.S., NATO allies and partner militaries. This year, approximately 28,000 multinational forces from 27 nations will conduct nearly simultaneous operations across more than 30 training areas in 12 countries.
